MORE ISRAEL BASHING...

>> Sunday, February 19, 2012

You can rely on the BBC to treat Israel with rigorous impartiality. Only joking! An irate B-BBC reader writes;

"I was appalled to listen to Saturday PM (18 Feb)to hear an interview on Iran with S Joshi of the United Services Institute. The interviewer earnestly drew attention more than once to Israel's threats and sabre rattling against Iran and looked to Mr Joshi for confirmation. Again Israel was made to look as if the problem was 50-50 between Israel and Iran and of course the danger Israel would cause by attacking Iran .The clear implication was Iran did not mean its threatsand it was Israel we had to beware of. No mention of Iran, a fellow member with Israel of the UN , threatening to wipe Israel off the map. The Jews heard such threats before in the 1930s and are likely to take them seriously. Israel has never threatened any country in this way. The bias was excruciating"
In my view, the BBC's hatred of Israel is visceral, profound and continuous and is perhaps one of the most recurring themes we cover here.

What I find interesting is how the bBC apes the anti-Semitic mantra that the mad mullahs try to pass off as righteous indignation against the jew. Saturday morning 2 Iranian ships docked in Syria. One an ex US corvette with a main gun smaller (20mm) than that found on a Russian armoured personal carrier 30mm) which the bBC tries to pass off as a destroyer and a huge supply ship (the Kharg) . Which apparently is needed to support a trip from Jeddah to Syria around 1400 miles. (The Naghdi the so called destroyer has a range of 2500 miles) really?
Yet instead of asking just what could the Iranians be unloading off the 33,000 ton supply ship Kharg in Syria at a time when the whole Syrian regime is guilty of wholescale murder, the bbC parrots the smokescreen of a diatribe as uttered by the mad mullahs of Tehran that this is all about taking the fight to the jew. Naturally this appeals to the likes of the bBC where only the jews are guilty of wholescale murder and allows them to overlook at how the Iranians are supporting a real odious regime.

Which is why the bbC still has on its website that the destination of the Iranian ships is still unknown.

While not Israel bashing the current headline from the bbC is about how the Iranians are goign to cut its Oil exports to France and the UK. yet and a big yet those two coutnries get very little oil from iran. So the question we have to ask is why is Iran shouting out this story and why is the bbC aping it to a world wide audicen?

Well at a stroke Iran, gets free publicity and the price of oil rises withou any real cuts to its oil exports. In otherwords iran is playing the markets (Fat cats??) and the bBC is more than happy to go along without mentioning why.

The bBC the traitors in our midst

Pounce

UK stopped buying oil from Iran six months ago. This is a faux story and the BBC are apeing it.

So has anybody read the news how the Democratically elected government of Gaza which while currently in the dark ( due to a lack of fuel for its power station) has not only refused the offer of fuel from isreal but also from Eygpt. I wonder why the bBC hasn't bothered to inform the great unwashed about this.

pounce_uk 9:31 PM, February 19, 2012

Also has anybody heard from the bBC about the large number of rockets fired from Gaza into isreal this past week. Why one of them failed to enter isreal ,landed in Gaza and destroyed a house. But from the bBC...nothing.

DP111 9:56 PM, February 19, 2012

Surely everone knows that the rockets fired into Israel is the work of Mossad agents. Its a fact.

So anybody watching the news on bBC 1 (2230) the female Asian presenter. Did you see the huge smile on her face when she reported that Iran is going to stop selling oil to the uk and France.

I would really like to know the background of some of the staff in the BBC newsrooms. Such obsessive hatred of Israel is not really a British characteristic

"Again Israel was made to look as if the problem was 50-50 between Israel and Iran"

That's better going than Today in its prime spot after the 8:00am news, which managed to make it look like it was entirely Israel's fault.  They actually managed to talk about the possibility of Israel attacking Iran for the entire segment without once indicating any possible reason why Israel might wish to do that.

The BBC did cover it, but only to blame Israel, ignoring Hamas's refusal to accept fuel that Israel has been offering.

See here:

and my last comment there:

Since it's become obvious that it's not Israel's fault the BBC has ceased to cover the story.

Reminded me to check back on Mr. Lustig's awesome analysis...

It seems to have been hijacked by a loon who, oddly, the mods seem entirely happy to indulge and waive several house rules in so doing.

Go figger.

"But we were not just anti-Macmillan; we were anti-industry, anti-capitalism, anti-advertising, anti-selling, anti-profit, anti-patriotism, anti-monarchy, anti-Empire, anti-police, anti-armed forces, anti-bomb, anti-authority. Almost anything that made the world a freer, safer and more prosperous place, you name it, we were anti it."

Andrew Marr

"..the final answer, frankly, is the vigorous use of state power to coerce and repress. It may be my Presbyterian background, but I firmly believe that repression can be a great, civilising instrument for good. Stamp hard on certain 'natural' beliefs for long enough and you can almost kill them off."
Andrew Marr, The Guardian Feb. 1999

Jeremy Paxman

"But the bigger question is whether the BBC itself has a future. Working for it has always been a bit like living in Stalin’s Russia, with one five-year-plan, one resoundingly empty slogan after another. One BBC, Making it Happen, Creative Futures, they all blur into one great vacuous blur. I can’t even recall what the current one is. Rather like Stalin’s Russia, they express a belief that the system will go on forever."
Jeremy Paxman, The James McTaggart Memorial, 24th August 2007
